Terms and Conditions of entry into the Music Week - Competition (April 2012):

Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions and all entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid: 

1. The Promoter is Radio Pulpit, 42 Jakobus Street, Kilnerpark, Pretoria, 0186.                                   Reg no: 1978/001847/08. VAT no: 446 012 3483.
2. To qualify to be one of the winners of 1 prize each, all the entrant needs to do is SMS the keyword ‘MWEEK’ together with the (correct) answer to the question asked during each applicable timeslot on air, as well as his / her name to the number ‘37871’. 3. Only entries submitted via cell phone (via the Mobius system) will be deemed eligible;

4. The prize for each winner consists of:

      Monday to Thursday (during the Good News Time and Heart 2 Heart programme slots):

• One (1) CD or DVD with the compliments of various record companies and / or individual artists;

Tuesday & Thursday (on Tunes@2):

• A voucher (1 for each applicable programme) for two (2) people, for two (2) nights (accommodation only) in any of the following three (3) Protea Hotels in Pretoria or Emalahleni (Witbank): The Capital Hotel, Highveld Hotel or Witbank Hotel (with the compliments of Protea Hotels). The voucher is valid for six (6) months after date of issue;
• A CD or DVD with the compliments of various record companies and / or individual artists;

5. Competition period is from Monday, 2 April 2012 until Thursday, 5 April 2012;
6. The competition will take place during the abovementioned week in a timeslot during the following programmes (only): Good News Time (07:00 – 08:30), Heart to Heart (13:00 – 16:00) and Tunes@2 (14:00 – 14:30).

7. The competition works as follows:

• During Good News Time as well as Heart 2 Heart - MONDAY to THURSDAY, a song from the active music play list will be played.
• If you like the song and want to hear it more frequently, you sms ‘MWEEK’, followed by the word ‘MORE’ and your name to ‘37871’;
• If you don’t like the song and want to hear it less, you sms ‘MWEEK’, followed by the word ‘LESS’ and your name to ‘37871’;
• All the music played, will be from the active music list;
• On Tuesday & Thursday on Tunes@2, one medley each will be played. These medleys will consist of different artists each singing a short part of a song, (three (3) songs included). The songs can all be about the same theme, for example ‘Love’ etc;
• A person must identify the correct artist of the 2^nd song in the medley and then take part via cell phone (SMS the correct answer and other mentioned details to ‘37871’);
• During these applicable programmes the presenter(s) will not mention the artist’s names applicable to the medley;
• Listeners to be referred to www.radiopulpit.co.za for more details and terms and conditions applicable to this competition;

8. The winners will be determined as follows:

• Each applicable timeslot, the presenter(s) will identify the 12^th * correct & COMPLETE SMS (‘complete’ refers to a SMS consisting of ‘MWEEK’, (correct) answer, participant’s name), received and then the winner will be phoned on air (as part of the presenter’s programme) to be congratulated;
• If 12 SMS’ are not received during a particular timeslot, then the 1^st correct & COMPLETE SMS (‘complete’ refers to a SMS consisting of ‘MWEEK’, (correct) answer, participant’s name) received, will be the winner;
• After the programme, the presenter(s) will give through the name and number of the winner to the music department via email, who will then contact the person to arrange postage / delivery (to confirm postal details etc);

9. Voting starts as soon as the song / medley in each applicable timeslot is playing;
10. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into;
11. All winners will be notified via an on air (live) telephone call during the applicable programme slot;
12. If Radio Pulpit is unable to get hold of a winner on air, he / she will be notified after the programme via telephone;
13. An entrant cannot qualify to be a winner in the Music Week competition more than once during the week;
14. The entrant can SMS as many times as he / she wants to (SMS’ are charged at R1.50 each);
15. A minor under the age of eighteen must be assisted by his / her legal guardian;
16. Incorrect information will automatically disqualify the entrant;
17. Anybody may take part except employees of Radio Pulpit as well as sponsors of music week prizes (including their employees, family members and agencies);
18. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash;
19. Radio Pulpit cannot take any responsibility for any damage, losses or injuries related to the competition or its prizes;
20. Winners must be prepared to be photographed/provide a photograph of himself / herself; such a photograph could possibly be used in future marketing material / publicized on the Radio Pulpit website and / or Facebook fan page;
21. Winners will be able to collect their prizes from Radio Pulpit Head Office in Kilnerpark, Pretoria during office hours; otherwise the prizes will be posted to a postal address supplied by the winners;
22. By entering the competition and supplying his / her information, the entrant gives consent to receive relevant promotional material via cell phone / e-mail until giving written notice not to do so;
23. Radio Pulpit can amend terms and conditions at any time as becomes necessary and reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time, without prior notice.
