The mission of
the counselling services of Radio Pulpit is
to be a companion to our clients in their
search for meaning. Our purpose is to
minister the Good News to people so that
they can experience and grow a living
relationship to God. This service is free of
charge.
Radio Pulpit has
contracted ABBO (The Association for
Biblical Counselling and Education) to
manage the counselling service and since
then it has proved to be a fruitful
relationship . Click
here for info on ABBO and its
counselling courses.
Radio Pulpit renders crisis and/or bridging
counselling through telephone conversations,
letters, e-mail, SMS and one on one
conversations at our offices. For long-term,
intensive counselling and help people are
referred to Biblical counsellors and/or
other helpers/specialists. To view our
reference list, click

The counselling
at Radio Pulpit has a biblical foundation.
Our bridging counsellors have been trained
to give people who phone in or write an
opportunity to discuss their problems and to
receive suitable godly counsel.
At present 30
counsellors serve voluntary and without
remuneration 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.
Monthly we handle approximately 600 phone
calls and 150 emails. An average of 75
people are called back and 100 callers each
receive a SMS to encourage them.
In the course of one month we also receive
approximately 600 prayer requests and those
are referred to our prayer partners country
wide.
We minister to the youth via SMS and e-mail.
Clients of Cape
Pulpit are also ministered to by us.
Once a week the counselling themes are
classified and relevant topics and guests
are suggested to the Radio Department to
compile radio programmes.
Please feel free
