World AIDS
day is commemorated across the world to
raise awareness of the pandemic disease.
On the 1st of December 2011 Radio Pulpit
commemorated World AIDS Day by visiting
the Jehovah Jireh Orphanage Centre for
the lighting of candles ceremony. Radio
Pulpit's Community Building Initiative
donated R10 000 to the centre to assist
with their needs.
Jehovah Jirah Orphanage Centre (JJOC) is
a non-profit organization that is
situated in Soshanguve, Pretoria. JJOC
was established in June 2003 in the
response to the increasing number of the
children affected by HIV/AIDS (orphans).
The aim of the visit was to pray with,
give encouragement and remind the
children that we serve a God who loves
us and has redeemed our lives! Pastor
Ray Legodi also shared a very inspiring
testimony of his childhood challenges.
The Radio Pulpit companions included
Ismalandi van Wyk, Enicca Mantlhwa, Riva
Schoeman, Jules Lombard, pastor Ray
Legodi and many more.
