Radio Pulpit takes note of the frustration concerning information on music being broadcast. It is important that the listener provides the following info to music enquiries in order to obtain a certain album.
When phoning in, specifically ask the lady at reception, who receives your call first, that you desire information on music that has been broadcast. They will transfer you to the music department who will give you the information.
- You must have the correct date of broadcast and the time.
- Remember in what language the song was performed and whether it was male/female voices or a group.
- Don’t wait longer than one week to phone in for information.
Availability of Music:
Listeners must keep in mind that not all the music that's broadcast is available in retail anymore. Music also goes out of print like a book. Some international artists' music are not distributed in South-Africa anymore. There are various reasons for this, the primary one being that the distributor overseas often doesn't exist anymore.
Some listeners phone and request duplicates of music that they couldn't find- this is illegal. Radio Pulpit as a Christian organisation and promoter of hard-working Christian artists, will never endorse or participate in illegal piracy or unauthorised duplication of copyrighted material.
A few of the albums in the music library were obtained directly from artists on visit to South Africa, or by post. In such cases the music is just unfortunately not for sale in local music shops.
