gereed wees wanneer jy Hom weer sien?

woorde: "In die laaste dae van die wêreld sal daar moeilike tye wees.
Mense sal net aan hulleself dink. Geldmaak sal vir hulle alles wees.
Hulle sal grootpraat en hoogmoedig wees. Hulle sal beledigend wees
teenoor ander mense en na hulle ouers sal hulle nie luister nie. Hulle
sal ondankbaar wees en geen eerbied vir God hê nie. Daar sal by hulle
geen liefde wees nie maar hardkoppigheid, kwaadpratery en
ongedissiplineerdheid. Hulle sal selfs hulle vriende in die rug steek en
roekeloos en hoogmoedig wees... Hulle sal nog aan die uiterlike vorm van
die godsdiens vashou maar die innerlike krag daarvan sal hulle nie wil
erken nie...
Hoeveel van hierdie tekens sien jy daagliks rondom jou? Besef jy dat ons
moet aanhou hardloop in hierdie lewenswedloop waarin ons tans is omdat
Jesus self by die eindpunt vir ons staan en wag? Luister maar na die
woorde in Hebreers 12:1-2: "Terwyl ons dan so 'n groot skare
geloofsgetuies rondom ons het, laat ons elke las van ons afgooi, ook die
sonde wat ons so maklik verstrik, en laat ons die wedloop wat vir ons
voorlê, met volharding hardloop, die oog gevestig op Jesus, die Begin en
Voleinder van die geloof. Ter wille van die vreugde wat vir Hom in die
vooruitsig was, het Hy die kruis verduur sonder om vir die skande
daarvan terug te deins, en Hy sit nou aan die regterkant van die troon
van God." Hier is ’n drama deur Benescke Botha getiteld: Wedloop op

Jeremia 23:24: "Ek is nie 'n God wat net naby is nie, sê die Here, Ek is

sonder dat Ek hom sien nie, sê die Here. Ek is oral in die hemel en op
die aarde, sê die Here."
Jesaja 66:1: "So sê die Here: Die hemel is my troon en die aarde die
rusplek vir my voete. Hoe moet die huis dan wees wat julle vir My bou,
die plek waar Ek kan woon? (Jesaja 66:1)"
Ons dien ’n God wat waarlik oral is. ’n God wat nooit sluimer en nooit
slaap nie. Hy ken ons gedagtes – en soms kan Hy ons gedagtes as gebede
gebruik om vir ons te gee wat ons hart begeer. Hier is ’n kragtige
getuienis van Retha Venter as ’n bewys hiervan.
