Online Art Auction: Meet the Artists

With the Happy People & Radio Pulpit online art auction we aim to not only support artist during a time when most are struggling to survive financially but also give you the opportunity to buy a gift that will keep on giving to improve education in South Africa.

Today, we want to introduce you to some of the artists who are participating in the event. You can also view the work on auction and start bidding right away. The artworks are on show until 13 December 2020.

The Artists who will be showcasing include the likes of; Jewellery designer and Tsogo Sun 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, Nqobile Nkosi. Michael Unga Ekandji, a fine artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo currently residing in South Africa as a refugee. Christiaan Snyman, an internationally renowned opera singer and fine artist.

Innocent Manjengenja, a stone sculptor who finds the inspiration for his work from the ancient Shona cultural sculpture from Zimbabwe. Paris based Casimir Balibié Bationo (CasziB) a contemporary painter born in Adjamé (Ivory Coast), originated from the Lélé tribe from the North-West of Burkina Faso. We also have bead designer, Busi Mahali from Gugulethu, Cape Town. Latifat Obanigba, a British Nigerian contemporary artist based in London to name but a few.
