Deon and Karin du Toit head up Huweliksfokus, an interdenominational ministry with the vision of re-calibrating marriages according to God’s plan. Both are highly qualified life coaches, trauma counselors, and mediators, and they serve as mentors to many. Through their unique and engaging style, they are well-known for their work in marriage preparation, marriage seminars, marriage counseling, blended marriages, parent-child relationships, communication and conflict resolution, financial principles based on God’s Word, as well as camps for men and women.
Deon and Karin were married in March 1977 and have two married sons and eight grandchildren; their eldest granddaughter is already married. During the first decade of their marriage, Deon worked as a professional musician, while Karin dedicated herself to raising their children. In 1988, they entered the world of entrepreneurship together.
In 1994, they attended a Huweliksfokus weekend, where they experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. This experience, combined with further study of God’s Word, profoundly transformed their lives and marriage. A passion to help create healthy, happy families ignited in their hearts, and in 1996, they joined Huweliksfokus as volunteers. Since 2001, they have been at the helm of this ministry, holding the firm conviction that:
every marriage can be restored and every family can experience healthy, happy relationships.
Over the past decade, they have been regular guests on various Radio Pulpit programs. They launched their own program, “Verhoudingsdinge met Deon en Karin” (Relationship Matters with Deon and Karin), on Monday mornings. They view this as a God-given opportunity to share their knowledge and experience regarding relationships, thereby influencing future generations for Jesus Christ.
